But Louis Vuitton continued sponsoring a series of races (including the prestigious Louis Vuitton Trophy series), sailed worldwide in the classic AC yachts. These were the yachts used for several previous America's Cup campaigns. <br />As many are aware, the relationship between Alinghi (the 2003 America's Cup winner and 2007 defender) and the Louis Vuitton group had been tepid at best. With BMW Oracle taking the Cup in 2010, there was at least a possibility that Louis Vuitton would return as a sponsor of the buildup races to the actual Cup itself. This is in fact what has happened. <br />The good news for sailing is that, even after Alinghi, Team Origin and Team Germany deciding not to participate in the 2013 Cup Challenge, the Louis Vuitton name brings again major credibility to the Cup sponsorship and will add more significant name value. Whether this will bring in additional teams or sponsors remains to be seen, but the Louis Vuitton name heightens name recognition,[url=http://www.fcgeo.ca]Ugg Canada[/url], always an important component to the Cup series. <br />With its return, Louis Vuitton Trophy will assume its former role. The Louis Vuitton Trophy will be presented to the winner of the America's Cup Challenger Series. The winner of the Challenger Series earns the right to sail in the actual Cup against the Defender.
