Hi there! My name is Sarah Fielke, and this is my blog.
My latest book, Quilting: From Little Things is available now from your nearest quilt shop or bookstore, or from my website. My new book, Hand Quilted with Love, will be released worldwide March 2013.

Yep, it nearly June and I am getting in the Craft Room to teach patchwork for Notebook. If you are an absolute beginner, a selftaught quilter who would like a few tips, or you just like to make this cute little quilt, come along!
quilt is around 22" square. It will teach you basic cutting and piecing, flying geese, half square triangles, sashing and hand quilting. Or at least I will. The quilt can talk :) har har
classes are on Sat June 5, Sat June 19 or Sat June 24 from 9 to 4. The cost is $225 for that you will get morning tea and lunch, all your fabric for the top (all the fabric in the kit is the same as shown here the brand spanking new Rainy Days and Mondays by Riley Blake), backing, binding and wadding, thread, use of all the cutting equipment and sewing machines, use of quilting hoops and thimbles, needles and ME!! (can you believe there a plus?) you will all get a little goodie bag from Sewn at the end. it going to be a really great class, the facilities at Notebook are just fantastic and we are going to have a lot of fun. The classes are being run only in Sydney at this point but hey maybe your hubby could spring for a late mothers day prezzie and fly you in! Or maybe early Christmas. :)
